ZERO TO THREE released the State of Babies Yearbook: 2022 on May 3rd, 2022, in a virtual briefing featuring ZERO TO THREE Chief Policy Officer Miriam Calderón, Rep. Rosa DeLauro (D-Conn.), Sen. Bob Casey (D-Penn.), and families with young children who shared their experiences.
The yearbook is designed to bridge the gap between science and policy with national and state-by-state data on the well-being of babies and families in the United States. The data included in the State of Babies Yearbook: 2022 help policymakers understand the indications that too many babies face risks that can undermine development and therefore their ability to reach their potential—in other words, what to pay attention to. The data also can help policymakers think strategically about progress—the actions that can be taken to create meaningful and sustainable change for all families with young children.
