The Biden-Harris Administration will host the White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health on September 28, 2022. The conference can be viewed online, and the conference agenda is available here.
The White House has identified five pillars that will serve as the focus for the upcoming conference, which is the first White House conference on hunger in more than 50 years. These pillars are: 1. Improve food access and affordability; 2. Integrate nutrition and health; 3. Empower all consumers to make and have access to healthy choices; 4. Support physical activity for all; and 5. Enhance nutrition and food security research.
The Food Research and Action Council (FRAC) has released a set of policy recommendations for the Administration to consider, including poverty reduction and improving child nutrition programs.
