We’re excited to announce that NAEYC’s Week of the Young Child is here! During the week of April 10-16,  join us in celebrating young children and the systems that support them.

This is an opportunity to draw public attention to the challenges children face and the people and programs that help meet their needs—especially in times of crisis. We can’t let the tremendous effort of parents, early care and learning providers, community leaders, and other child advocates go unnoticed.

COVID-19 has made prioritizing young children more critical than ever before. Babies born after March 2020 will have only known a world in crisis and young children and their families have been forced to navigate uncharted territory in fear. The truth we’ve known all along couldn’t be clearer: #KidsAreEssential — as are the committed providers who nurture them. It’s time we recognize them as our greatest resource and treat them as our highest priority.

This week, join us in prioritizing young learners. Our ask: Use this toolkit to spotlight our youngest generation during the Week of the Young Child (April 10-16). Every voice matters. Help us spread the word.
