In a new report produced by Trust for America’s Health and Well Being Trust, Pain in the Nation: The Epidemics of Alcohol, Drug, and Suicide Deaths, data show that deaths associated with alcohol, drugs, and suicide increased 20 percent in one year in the combined death rate. The report also notes that 2020 data show the highest number of substance misuse deaths ever recorded for a single year.
