The research team is seeking to learn about the needs of kinship caregivers, particularly since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, in order to recommend to local and national decision-makers the types of programs, services, and policies that best support this population.
The study is recruiting child welfare professionals who have been working in the field for at least two years and who are knowledgeable about kinship care. Participants must be 21 years of age or older and are invited to take part in either a series of brief interviews, which will occur via email, a focus group (via Zoom), or both.
- The email interviews will take approximately 15 minutes for each of three rounds, or 45 minutes total. Participants will receive a $25 gift card for completing all three interview rounds.
- Focus groups will last approximately 90 minutes. Participants will receive a $50 gift card for taking part in a focus group.
The study will run from late July to early September. Participation in the study is voluntary. Information and responses will remain confidential and will not be shared. If interested in participating in the study, please complete the interest form.
If you have any questions about the research study, please contact the OSU Research Team. Please feel free to share this email with other professionals you know that may be interested in the study.
The OSU team is also seeking kinship caregivers for the study. Kinship caregivers interested in participating can complete the online interest form.
