On May 23, 2024, the Senate passed S.Res.706, a Resolution recognizing May as National Foster Care Month. The long title of the resolution is, “Recognizing National Foster Care Month as an opportunity to raise awareness about the challenges of children in the foster care system, and encouraging Congress to implement policies to improve the lives of children in the foster care system.”

Senator Grassley (R-IA), co-chair of the Senate Foster Care Caucus, introduced the resolution, which was passed by Unanimous Consent. Eighteen Senators on both sides of the aisle cosponsored the resolution.
