The Administration for Community Living is seeking input by Friday, February 7, 2020.

The Supporting Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Act, passed in 2018, established an Advisory Council to Support Grandparents Raising Grandchildren. That Council is seeking public input. They are particularly interested in opinions from former and current grandparent(s) or other older relative raising children, or if you represent an organization that provides support to relative caregivers.

Specifically, the Advisory Council is asking for help to identify: best practices, resources, and other useful information for grandparents and other older relatives raising children; gaps in available resources; addressing the unique needs of children affected by opioid misuse; and the unique needs of members of Native American tribes.

This information will be used by the Advisory Council to develop a report that includes best practices, resources, and other useful information for grandparents and other older relatives raising children. This report will be delivered to the Secretary of Health and Human Services, Congress, and the state agencies responsible for carrying out family caregiver programs.

The form and input are easy to use. This link takes you there.
