Working with the Center on Budget Policy and Priorities, CWLA is joining with other organizations to promote the Get It Back Campaign. The Center regularly works on encouraging families and now some individuals to be sure to apply for the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC). The campaign includes this video. The EITC allows lower income workers to receive a credit based on the number of children and earned income (paid earnings). The credit gradually increases and then gradually phases out as income goes up. It is refundable so that lower income workers can still receive it even if it eliminates their federal income taxes.

Foster Parents are eligible for the EITC. From its inception under President Ford through President Obama every President from both parties has signed into law at least some increase and expansion. For more information go to the Get It Back Campaign.
