Consistent with the growing efforts to move from enforcement and surveillance across child and family services, the Administration for Children and Families announced on June 2nd, 2023, that the Federal Office of Child Support Enforcement is now the Federal Office of Child Support Services (OCSS).
“First impressions matter, and the Office of Child Support Services is a name that reflects our commitment to serving and supporting the whole family,” said OCSS Commissioner Tanguler Gray. “We want families to know we’re here to help them support their children and have services that can help everyone thrive.”
CWLA was informed of this critical change by James Murray, Senior Advisor, Office of the Commissioner, Administration for Children and Families. Office of Child Support Services who is a member of our Father Engagement Committee organized by Dr Rufus Lynch, CWLA Senior Fellow.
