Children’s Bureau Releases IM Describing Families First

The Children’s Bureau has released an information memorandum (IM) describing the Family First Act (PL 115-123). The IM is a basic description of the law and not a guidance or clarification of the many questions on the detailed implementation. The IM does prove that the extensive law cannot be explained in any quick fashion as the Information Memorandum, IM-18-02-4-12-18, and appendix B, appendix C and appendix D total over 18 pages.

Here are the two summaries by CWLA shortened at 16 pages and more extensive at 27 pages.

For more discussion of the Family First Act or to talk budget and appropriations come to the CWLA National Conference starting on Wednesday afternoon April 25th. Once you have signed up be sure to make your appointment with your three members of Congress here.
