Join Zero to Three's Child Abuse Prevention Efforts

9/5/2007:   With the goal of strengthening states' child abuse and neglect prevention initiatives, Zero to Three is recruiting six states to participate in the second cohort of their State Partnerships for Prevention: Reducing the Risk of Maltreatment of Very Young Children Project.

To accomplish the project, Zero to Three is partnering with 12 states that have developed either a child abuse/neglect prevention initiative or a child care improvement initiative that includes a focus on prevention of child maltreatment in early childhood settings. Cohort 1 states include Arkansas, Missouri, New York, North Dakota, Oklahoma, and South Carolina.

Benefits of participating include:
  • Free, state-of-the-art training in your state.
  • Ongoing phone and web-based training and consultation.
  • Integration of high-quality training curriculum on working with families to prevent child abuse.
Applications are due October 23.
