Teleconference Explores Child Refugee Mental Health
The teleconference is part of NCTSN's monthly Culture and Trauma Speakers Series highlighting the work of NCTSN experts in important areas relating to culture and child trauma. Each session presents practical and research-based information and is designed to address individual- and organizational-level objectives. Registration is free and open to the public.
Featured presenters for the August 23 teleconference are Heidi Ellis, with the Center for Medical and Refugee Trauma in Boston, and Ruth Campbell, from the International Institute of New Jersey in Jersey City. Ellis will present an overview of trauma among refugee populations, and Campbell will give a clinical perspective on working with this population. Advance presentation materials will be made available a few days before the teleconference.
