Georgetown University Providing Online Summaries of Special Forums

8/15/2007:   Did you miss Georgetown University's Special Forums last summer about serving communities and populations with unique service needs? You can now read through 14 new issue briefs that summarize the interactive discussions from the forums.

The goal of the forums held by the Georgetown University Training Institutes in July 2006 was to
  • summarize issues and challenges related to each topic,
  • identify effective service delivery strategies for local systems of care, and
  • develop recommendations for policy and technical assistance that will support communities in implementing these effective service delivery strategies.
Forum topics ranged from serving children and families in rural and urban communities and Native American communities, to services for youth in kinship care or youth from military families, to financing children's mental health services.
