Calling on Youth for Help to Improve Programs

6/5/2007:   Listen to a free teleconference next week to learn about strategies to engage youth in ongoing program improvements in child welfare agencies.

The teleconference, Engaging Youth in the CFSR and Program Improvements, will be held June 14 at 2:30 p.m. (EDT) and will feature representatives from two national resource centers who will draw on their experiences to discuss promising approaches to engaging youth. They will highlight a set of tools and resources that are now available or are being developed to help agencies engage youth in leadership activities, particularly in the Child and Family Service Reviews. Youth representatives will also share their perspectives on steps agencies can take to effectively involve youth in analyzing and improving child welfare programs.

Register online, by phone at 800/HELPKID, or by e-mail at helpkids@usm.maine.edu. The National Child Welfare Resource Center for Organizational Improvement is sponsoring the teleconference.
