Youth Artwork Contest Seeking Entries

5/23/2007:   "Expanding the Possibilities" for women and girls is the subject of a national art contest sponsored by the National Women's Law Center (NWLC). Youth ages 13-19 are invited to submit their original photography, paintings, drawings, Flash animation, and web-based media.

Conducted in honor of its 35th anniversary, the NWLC art contest encourages young people to think creatively about the different roles women play, advances women have made, and the challenges women have faced historically and continue to face. The deadline for submissions is June 30. A panel of judges will select a winner by September 30 based on the artwork's originality, creativity, attractiveness, and relevance to the contest's theme. The winner receives $500.

Visit NWLC online to download an entry form. Entries can be mailed or emailed.
