Buy a Cookbook this Holiday Season and Support Adoption

11/10/2006:   Copies of Voice for Adoption: Recipes and Memories, a cookbook featuring photographs, recipes, adoption stories, and memories, are available for holiday giving. Members of adoption organizations, adoption advocates, celebrities, and elected officials submitted nearly 500 recipes for the publication, selling for $19.95 plus postage and handling.

Recipe categories, including homeland recipes and recipes for a crowd, such as large families and for picnics, make the cookbook very adoption-friendly. Proceeds will establish an ongoing fund for congressional briefings related to adoption.

Order forms are available at the Children Awaiting Parents Inc. website under the news and events section. These forms can be emailed or faxed. Checks or credit cards are accepted. Two weeks are necessary for regular shipping. Rush shipping is also available.

The cookbook is published by Voices for Adoption (VFA), a coalition of nearly 100 national, state, and local adoption organizations that develop and advocate for improved adoption policies. CWLA is one of the founding organizations and participates on the board of VFA.
