CWLA Survey Reveals Widespread Use of Postadoption Services

10/18/2006:   Most respondents to a recent CWLA survey of private agency members say they provide postadoption services to support families and children who have recently completed the adoption process. The services they offer range from support groups, crisis intervention, and adoption searches, to family therapy, mental health treatment, and respite care.

The survey reveals the creative ways agencies are serving the postadoption needs of the children and families they serve, and how they are funding these services. CWLA collected 95 responses from agencies in 39 states to seven questions. Ninety-four percent reported providing postadoption services. Read more about the survey on CWLA's website.
