Deadline Extended for Annual CWLA Service Awards

11/22/2005:   CWLA wants to hear about children and youth who have made outstanding contributions to their communities, as well as corporations that have demonstrated unparalleled commitment to children, youth, and families on a national scale.

Currently, through Dec. 7, CWLA is accepting online nominations for its 2006 Awards. The 2006 Kids to Kids National Service Award gives CWLA an opportunity to hear from children and young people firsthand about the impact that community service has had on their lives.

The 2006 Corporate Awards are comprised of both a National Corporate Advocate of the Year Award--given to a single company--and the Corporate Friend of Children Awards--given to six corporations, typically one from each membership region.

CWLA will choose winners from the pool of nominees to publicly honor at its 2006 National Conference, Children 2006: Securing Brighter Futures, Feb. 27-Mar. 1, in Washington, DC.
