Third CWLA Teleconference on Meth and Child Welfare is Next Week

11/10/2005:   Next week, the Child Welfare League of America (CWLA) is holding the third teleconference in its five-part, Competence on Call series focusing on the impacts meth manufacture and use are having on the child welfare system and the creative responses of states and communities nationwide.

The latest teleconference, Nov. 17, 2-3:30 p.m., will describe the work of the National Alliance for Drug Endangered Children (DEC). The alliance encourages communities to intervene on behalf of children and to establish DEC multidisciplinary programs to rescue, defend, and support them. The discussion will focus on the structure, practice, and accomplishments of DEC efforts.

Visit CWLA online to register for and learn more about the teleconference series. The individual registration fee for each session is $100 for CWLA members, $150 for nonmembers. The registration fee includes one telephone line and a complete set of program materials. There is no limit to the number of employees that can participate.
