An E-bulletin brought to you by The Child Welfare League of America

Celebrate National Family Week, Nov. 20-26, 2005

11/1/2005:   Strong families are at the center of strong communities. That's why Connections Count is the theme of National Family Week, organized by the Alliance for Children and Families, in partnership with the Annie E. Casey Foundation, and hosted by organizations nationwide. National Family Week: Connections Count embraces the premise that children live better lives when their families are strong, and families are strong when they live in communities that connect them to economic opportunities, social networks, and services.

At www.nationalfamilyweek.org, you can learn more about National Family Week and obtain helpful hints for making Connections Count, including:
  • tips for extending and enhancing family connections and about how neighborhood organizations, businesses, nonprofits, and policymakers can make a difference;

  • details about local events and activities taking place across the country during National Family Week; and

  • online and offline links to organizations that offer year-round support and services designed to strengthen families.
