Reward Hard Work in Adoption Services

6/30/2005:   The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is recognizing outstanding organizational and individual efforts in the field of adoption services with the Adoption Excellence Awards. Everyone is welcome to nominate as many candidates as they wish, and judges will accept self-nominations as well. Examples of nominees include courts, community organizations, faith-based organizations, media, advocacy programs, foundations, and individuals. Nomination packages, due by August 15, are downloadable at www.acf.hhs.gov/programs/cb/initiatives/aeawards.htm.

Award winners receive a crystal monolith with the recipient's name, the category, and the HHS logo engraved on the front, and a congratulatory letter from the Secretary of HHS. Winners will be recognized during National Adoption Month in November.
