Access Mental Health Month Materials Online

5/5/2005:   The National Mental Health Association has for the first time placed all general Mental Health Month materials online, making it easier for communities to rally behind this important mission during May.

Visit http://www.nmha.org/may/index.cfm to download a calendar of events, activity ideas, instructions on running a health fair or information booth, a quiz on your mental health IQ, a checklist for signs of depression, and tips for working parents on what children need for good mental health.

A key observance during Mental Health Month is Children's Mental Health Week, May 1-7. The Missouri Statewide Parent Advisory Network started the annual event 10 years ago. Now sponsored nationally by the Federation of Families for Children's Mental Health, the week serves as an opportunity to educate the public and advocate on behalf of children with mental health care needs.
