Visit eBay this Week to Support the Children's Memorial Flag

4/15/2005:   The bidding has begun! The Child Welfare League of America (CWLA) kicked off its second-annual Children's Memorial Flag eBay Charity Auction today. Bidding will take place through 3:00 p.m. EDT, April 22. All auction proceeds support the Children's Memorial Flag initiative.

Auction items include:
  • an original 1994 Seinfeld script, signed by Jerry Seinfeld, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Michael Richards, and Jason Alexander;

  • a basketball signed by Alonzo Mourning;

  • two premium-level seats to any 2005 DC United home game; and

  • a one-month membership and discounted personal training session at any Sports Club Network Gym.

CWLA launched the Children's Memorial Flag Campaign in 1998 to draw public awareness to the problem of nearly 3 million children reported abused and neglected each year. To support the flag and to recognize April as National Child Abuse Prevention Month, every state will fly the flag on April 22 this year.
