An E-bulletin brought to you by The Child Welfare League of America
Join Us This Month for CWLA's 2005 Teleconference Series
The 2005 series includes five sessions, from January to May, focused on child trauma (registration in the first January session is not required to participate in subsequent sessions). Specifically, we will discuss the developmental impact of child trauma, how knowledge of child trauma can enhance child welfare practice in various settings such as schools and residential treatment centers, and focus on understanding evidence-based child trauma interventions that can be used to treat child sexual abuse. Presenters are all nationally recognized experts and members of the National Child Traumatic Stress Network.
The subject of the call on March 24, 2:00-3:30 p.m. EST, is teaching trauma theory and trauma treatment to staff and children in residential treatment centers. Presenters will be David McCorkle, Sanctuary Coordinator with the Andrus Children's Center, and Caroline Peacock, Associate Director for the Center for Trauma Program Innovation Sanctuary Project, Jewish Board of Family and Children's Services.
