The Solution: A Free Anti-Bullying Resource

9/20/2004:   Every day, children are teased, threatened, and tormented by bullies in our schools and communities. To put an end to it, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) recently launched a nationwide campaign to make schools and playgrounds safer for children. HHS's efforts culminate this summer with a comprehensive multimedia resource card that informs caregivers, educators, and children about bullying and how to stop it.

The Solution: An Anti-Bullying Resource Tool is a small, credit-card-sized CD-ROM that provides access to a variety of antibullying resources and materials. Organized by relevance to specific audiences, the interactive format allows parents, educators, health care providers, community organizations, and children to obtain the information they need quickly and easily. HHS is hoping to get this free resource into the hands of parents, educators, and students nationwide. For a copy of the CD-ROM or more information, contact anti-bullying@reingold.com, or call 202/333-0400.
