National Association of Counsel for Children: National Conference September 7-10

8/10/2004:   If your agency is concerned with the legal protection of children, you may want to send some of your key staff to the annual Children's Law Conference, convened by the National Association of Counsel for Children in Las Vegas, Nevada, September 7-10.

Designed for professionals from the fields of law, medicine, mental health, social work, and education, the program's workshops focus on abuse and neglect, juvenile justice, custody and visitation, and policy advocacy. Keynote speakers include Edward Lazarus, John E.B. Meyers, representatives from the Pew Commission on Children in Foster Care, and CWLA's own Shay Bilchik. Continuing Education Credits are available. The cost for members is $325, and for nonmembers $425.
