Generations United Photo Contest

6/15/2004:   Looking for a unique way to engage young people or older adults in a meaningful art project?

Generations United (GU)--an organization focused on the bond between children and older adults and the special needs of each group--is once again sponsoring a photography contest seeking the best photos by younger or older amateur photographers, showing younger and older people together. Photographs should capture the power and beauty of intergenerational relationships and convey the important roles that younger and older people play in each other's lives. The contest is open to children and youth up to 21 years of age and adults over the age of 50. The grand prize is $250, second place is $100, and third place is $50. Deadline for entries is July 31.

To download the entry form (in PDF format), see previous award winners, or get more information, visit www.gu.org/photocontest.htm. Questions? Call 202/289-3979, or e-mail gu@gu.org.
