Wendy Whiting Blome
Also by Mick Polowy.
This competency-based curriculum offers eight days of concentrated knowledge and skills-building for both new and experienced supervisors in the public and private sectors. Topics covered include decision-making; assessing learning styles and needs of workers, analyzing worker performance, promoting cultural competence, and developing leadership skills. The curriculum is designed to help participants understand power and their reactions to it, know strategies for managing time, and use their agency's information systems.
The curriculum is comprised of a 3-ring binder, with dividers designating each day's session. Resource materials are included for participants to use in training and as an on-the-job reference.
