Developed by CWLA and the Institute for Human Services, The Core Curriculum for Child Welfare Caseworkers is a 14-day in-service training curriculum that teached foundation-level knowledge and skills to caseworkers who provide child protective, family-based, and child placement services.The Curriculum addresses 52 competency areas that represent the core of child welfare practice, and establishes a theoretical framework for child welfare practice, transmits critical information, and promotes the development of job-related skills. This series was designed for adult learners and, as such, integrates numerous opportunities for experiential learning and application of content to the job.
