CWLA Standards of Excellence for Family Foster Care Services
These standards emphasize the effect of social and economic conditions on children and their families, and the importance of making children and families the centerpiece of public policy. These standards describe the value of permanency in the lives of children, and the roles and responsibilities of the family. These standards examine the roles and responsibilities of communities in supporting children and their families, child welfare services, kinship care, and family foster care in meeting the child's special needs.
