CWLA Standards of Excellence for Child Care, Development, and Education Services

The CWLA Standards of Excellence for Child Care, Development, and Education Services focuses on the issues that have significantly affected child care and development services since the 1991 volume. A dramatic increase in the number of single- and two-parent working families clearly indicated a need for expanded coverage of standards for infant child care. Other subjects include care of special-needs children, care of school-age children, family child care, resource and referral services, and the recognition and reporting of child abuse and neglect. Contains recommended staffing ratios.
