Description of R2P Publications
- Children's Voice articles
R2P articles appear in each bimonthly issue of CWLA's Children's Voice magazine. With its distribution to nearly 20,000 recipients, including the media and members of Congress, Children's Voice features R2P-selected programs and practices in a style appealing to a general audience. After the magazine has been published, these articles are available on the R2P website.
- Research Roundup
R2P will publish Research Roundup several times a year focused on a variety of child welfare and related topics. Research Roundup is designed to appeal to child welfare administrators, executives, and researchers. It highlights the research supporting programs and practices in a given subject area and includes a literature review. "The Roundup" will be available on the R2P website in PDF form.
- R2P Toolkit Series
R2P is beginning a Toolkit Series for agency administrators and practitioners who want to learn more about research and evaluation (R&E). Individual guides in the Toolkit Series will focus on a particular aspect of the R&E process. The guides are intended to promote interest in R&E; increase comfort and familiarity with R&E; enhance the readers' knowledge of R&E; provide resource information; and forge connections between research and effective practice. The guides, offered periodically, will be available on the R2P website. The guides' design lends itself to be used as a wall poster.
- Assessment Tools
R2P will develop assessment tools for use by agencies as they consider replicating an R2P-evaluated program or practice. The assessment tools are designed to facilitate critical thinking throughout an agency, from staff readiness and costs to targeting appropriate populations.
- Annotated Bibliographies
Based on an extensive review of the literature, R2P develops annotated bibliographies on a variety of topics in child welfare and related fields. The annotations are of juried journal articles, books, and papers on a specific topic such as family reunification and positive youth development. Most annotations include four sections: The Study, The Methods, The Findings, and an R2P Evaluation. The bibliographies are comprehensive and available on the R2P website.
