2009 Kids to Kids National Service Award
CWLA will present the annual Kids to Kids National Service Award during its 2009 National Conference, February 23-35, 2009, in Washington, DC. The awards celebrate the accomplishments of children and youth who have made outstanding contributions to their communities. The awards provide CWLA with an opportunity to hear from children and young people firsthand about the impact that community service has had on their lives.
This year's contest will focus on how young leaders work to achieve positive change for America's most vulnerable children, youth, and families. One grand-prize winner will be selected from each of the four age-based categories:
- 5-8 years
- 9-12 years
- 13-17 years
- 18-21 years
This year's contest will focus on how young leaders advocate for the present and future success for America's children, youth, and families.
Nomination deadline: December 1, 2008.
