Organizations and Associations

While the large accreditation organization such as the NAFCC are national in scope, resources and information for family child care providers is generally more widely available on local levels. In addition, the business activities of family child care homes are locally regulated.

Click on your state to see whether there are organizations and associations in your state that might be helpful in providing additional information pertinent to family child care in your community. Included for each state is also the contact information for the government office that handles family child care regulation issues. These offices will be best able to supply accurate information on zoning regulations and licensing requirements.
