Hicksville, NY (November 18, 2009) -- To provide warmth and comfort to some of our nation's underprivileged youth this holiday, Sleepy's the Mattress Professionals, family-owned east coast mattress company, is partnering with the Child Welfare League of America (CWLA) in an extensive community outreach program titled "Warm A Child's Night." Beginning the week of November 23rd, all 700 Sleepy's showrooms will serve as convenient drop-off locations for new pajamas, socks, slippers, robes, nightgowns and other sleepwear for school aged children ages 6 to 18. Donation bags will be set up in Sleepy's showrooms to accept sleepwear donations through the holiday season.

In addition to showroom participation, Sleepy's also plans to open the drive to employees in their main headquarters in Hicksville, NY and their four other distribution centers. "Sleepy's is proud to lend its support and help collect clothing that will allow children to sleep warmly at night," said Adam Blank, Chief Operating Officer at Sleepy's. After all, there is nothing more important than a great night's sleep."

Starting December 14th, representatives from CWLA will begin collecting donated items from Sleepy's showrooms and distributing them both locally and nationally to children and teens in need through their agency members throughout the country.

"We are proud to partner with Sleepy's on this important effort to provide warmth for hundreds of children and increase awareness of the needs of children in the community." said Christine James-Brown, President of CWLA.
