September 22, 2005, Los Angeles, CA -- On October 15, 2005 uBid Inc. will team up with Lance Bass, AJ Discala and Pantera Sarah Productions to launch "uBid For Hurricane Relief," the largest celebrity auction assembled to date to benefit hurricane victims. Empire Ballroom, a new nightclub in Las Vegas, Nevada, will play host to this star-studded event slated to include special musical performances and a live auction. The live event will also kick off an online auction at that will run until early November.

One hundred percent of the proceeds garnered for this project will be split evenly among three charitable organizations locally focused in the areas devastated by the hurricanes. Those organizations include the Brett Favre Fourward Mississippi Relief Fund, RockWorks (in association with Ashton Kutcher) and the Child Welfare League of America.

"Some of the largest celebrities, athletes, and corporations in the world have already pledged their support, and are digging deep to donate unique items that will bring in the highest possible bids. With everyone's help, we can do our part to raise funds that are so desperately needed," said Bob Tomlinson, President and CEO of uBid Inc. "We are proud to donate uBid's online auction resources to help alleviate the suffering caused by the recent hurricanes and accelerate the healing process," he added.

All those involved in this unique effort are working to reach out to colleagues, clients, and associates urging them to donate an exclusive item to this auction.
