From: CWLA Member Exclusives
Subject: Value-Added Features

Those of you who have been reading "Member Exclusives" regularly know that these e-mails describe the wide variety of member benefits and resources available exclusively to members, funded primarily through your dues to CWLA.

But the League aggressively pursues other funding opportunities as well, through grants, contracts, and other partnerships that support a wide variety of programs not funded through dues. These programs constitute critical opportunities for CWLA to expand its reach into the lives of children and agencies beyond mainstream child welfare, to support research, and to increase our connections with other human services and the communities in which we live. Nonetheless, these programs also add value to your membership and provide important resources to members, the public, and children and families alike.

CWLA's increasing work and new initiatives in areas such as technology and child welfare, positive parenting, juvenile justice, and services to the children of incarcerated parents are all examples of "Value-Added" programs that support you and your communities every day without dipping into members' dues. Look for descriptions of these and other "Value Added" features in upcoming Member Exclusives e-mails.
