Subject: Networking Opportunities

Although we believe CWLA's conferences, books, and periodicals provide your organization with some of the best information in the field, there's no doubt that most of us learn best from our colleagues. That's why CWLA provides numerous opportunities - both formal and informal - to get support, guidance, and information from your peers on a local and national level, including:

National Events

•  CWLA's National Conference, held every March in Washington, DC

•  CWLA's Biennial Leadership Conference, held in the Fall of every even-numbered year

•  Rotating Regional Training Conferences, offered in two regions each year and targeting a national audience

•  Program-related summits and conferences

•  Various program-related advisory committees

Regional Events

•  Steering Committees, Executive Seminars, and Affinity Groups, allowing professionals in our field to gather and discuss specific subjects of interest to their organizations and their constituency

•  Leadership Retreats, comparable to the national Biennial Conference, allowing our members' leaders to meet with their peers and exchange ideas in a non-competitive environment

•  Cluster Groups bring together neighboring states, rather than an entire region, allowing for informal discussions

•  Receptions, often built around other events, maximizing your ability to meet with members and potential members in a specific area

If you're interested in coordinating a local meeting or attending such a gathering, contact your regional office. And if you'd like to see what CWLA is offering in the way of conferences and meetings, visit http://www.cwla.org/conferences.
