JOB TITLE: Director of Campus Life POSITION RESPONSIBLE TO: Chief Operating Officer of Residential Services CATEGORY OF EMPLOYMENT: Salaried/Exempt
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND MAJOR OBJECTIVES: To provide effective, management, leadership supervision and oversight to the residential programs, including the high intensity Group Homes and Group Homes on the main campus and in the community. To hire, supervise, mentor, train and evaluate program directors that oversee the high intensity Group Homes and Group Homes on the main campus and in the community To develop, supervise, and evaluate an integrated recreation, spiritual and creative arts program. To ensure that all residential units are maintained in the highest quality of care for safety, cleanliness and homelike environment. To ensure that child care services are consistently provided based upon the Board of Child Cares treatment, philosophy, practices, policies and procedures. Recommend hiring and termination of program personnel to the Chief Operating Officer of Residential Programs. To oversee the development of policies and procedures relative to the high intensity Group Homes and Group Homes on the main campus and in the community, including the recreation program. To ensure that all COMAR, COA and best practice standards are met for all programs. To develop effective systems of accountability to ensure that the program is meeting the highest quality of care. To be the leader of program development for the high intensity Group Homes and Group Homes on the main campus and in the community. To serve as administrator-on-call as necessary. Perform other duties as necessary to achieve agency goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Maintenance of a valid drivers license and safe driving record. Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing Able to develop effective behavioral interventions and strategies using sound, objective decision making Ability to organize staffing and therapeutic programming. The Director of Campus Life must be professional and have the ability to comfortably interface with outside agencies, consultants, Board of Directors, representatives of the United Methodist Church, etc. The Director of Residential Programs must recognize that the job requires flexibility and some evening and weekend hours. Requires acceptance of on-call status when assigned.
MINIMUM ACADEMIC PREPARATION AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: MSW and/or Masters Degree in related field Must be licensed and have all requirements to become a Residential Certified Program Administrator Minimum of five (5) years experience in management. Minimum of three (3) years experience in residential programs.
