Job Description:

The Special Programs Director is responsible for providing leadership, direction, and strategic management for all USCCB/MRS administered assistance programs that focus on unaccompanied alien and refugee children’s services and victims of human trafficking and the Bridging Refugee Youth and Children’s Services (BRYCS) information resources clearinghouse. The Director is responsible for an expanding annual budget of approximately $15 million in federal and private funding and is a member of the MRS and USCCB senior management teams. Assists in promoting and implementing the bishops’ strategic priorities and participates in various external program and advocacy coalitions and working groups to advance the MRS mission to these special migrant populations.This position requires an undergraduate degree with a graduate degree preferred in the fields of Administration/Management; Behavioral and/or Social Sciences; Business Management or International Studies. Experience with financial management, budget development. Solid understanding of international, federal and state government systems that serve refugees and migrants highly desirable. Public policy and legislative process knowledge and experience also desirable. A minimum of ten years work related experience and at least five years at a program management level preferred.
