Job Description:  

The focus of the Outreach Coordinator is to promote public involvement in alignment with established organizational goals; advance internal and external communications; and provide input and support for Outreach Unit initiatives. The Outreach Coordinator is responsible for community engagement and building of strategic relationships; event management including volunteer programs; acting as contributor to content development of Outreach Unit initiatives; supporting communication projects and materials, with consideration of recruitment and retention goals and agency Social Media maintenance and development.

The successful candidate will possess the following:
•Strong interpersonal and oral/written communication skills;
•Cooperative team player, equally effective and self-motivated; ability to work independently;
•Experience in working with diverse populations;
•Knowledge of public child-welfare system, including foster and adoption services;
•Ability and willingness to advocate for families and children;
•Ability to effectively multi-task;
•Bachelors degree;
•Ability to work flexible hours, including some nights and weekends;
•Reliable transportation/valid driver’s license;
•Positive Child Protective Services/Criminal Background Check
