SALOMON SMITH BARNEY CHARITABLE TRUST, INC
Your irrevocable contribution is gifted to the Salomon Smith Barney Charitable Trust, Inc. (the "Trust"). The Trust is an independent public charity with legal control over the administration and investment of the gift, but responsive to your charitable requests.
You retain the ability to:
- Advise the Trust up front on the investment strategy of the contribution.
- Recommend that the Trust makes grants to your chosen charities on your own timetable.
- Tie your financial planning into your philanthropic goals.
- Easily administer and track your charitable donations.
The Trust was founded as an independent, nonprofit organization and is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization under the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended. To assist in the administration of the Child Welfare League of America Charitable Investment Fund (the "Fund"), the Trust has retained Salomon Smith Barney Inc. and Smith Barney Asset Management. Salomon Smith Barney Inc. provides administration and record-keeping services to the Fund, and Salomon Smith Barney Financial Consultants will provide advisory services to Fund donors. Smith Barney Asset Management, a division of Salomon Smith Barney Inc., will perform as investment manager, advising the Trust on asset allocation and managing Fund investments. Salomon Smith Barney Inc. and Smith Barney Asset Management are affiliated entities under the common control of Citigroup, Inc. Salomon Smith Barney Inc. is a broker-dealer and member of the NYSE, NASD, and other principal exchanges.
