Testimonials
Thank you to all of our supporters!
I've waited for 51 years since I attended my first Red Sox game (June, 1953) to see that headline. To have that headline framed and to be able to help the Child Welfare League of America is doubly satisfying.

Sometimes, sitting at home making jewelry all day feels pretty self-serving. While it is important to me to continue to follow my dream, it is equally important to remember the community I live in. One way that I've been able to balance those desires is to donate my jewelry to people working to better the world in ways that I support. The one group that I consider to be topmost in this regard is CWLA.
Long have we known that to live harmonious and fulfilling lives, we must respect ourselves and our neighbors. I believe it is especially important to respect children: to take them seriously, and to honor their feelings and contributions. Childhood is the time when our faith in the world is established, setting the stage for our eventual level of citizenship. Yet somehow, children often get lost in the shuffle, or even shuffled to the bottom of the deck. The people at the CWLA are working to counter this societal tendency in multifarious ways, and I strongly support and applaud their efforts. Thank you CWLA staff. I'm honored to be able to help in my small way by donating jewelry for your auctions.

What a great cause to give to, and my son now has a treasure: a soccer ball signed by the players and coach of the DC United 2004 MSL championship soccer team.

My wife and I began our Charitable Foundation 2 years ago to help support children's issues. These issues come in many forms. However, the common theme is being a voice for those that cannot always speak for themselves.
When we read about your auction we thought it would a nice opportunity to take part. We also thought it was an interesting way to learn something new. In this case, it was the opportunity to spend a few hours with Mr. Bob Danzig.
Frankly, I got a bargain!
He was kind, gracious and very informative. We discussed everything from parenthood to charitable giving. The take-away, for me, was any group Mr. Danzig supports, I would want to do the same.
Because of this lunch, and the information your group has since shared with us, I expect we will be long time supporters of your cause.

One person's clutter is another person's find of a lifetime. It has been fun to see things I no longer use or need being heavily bid on -- and knowing the money goes to such a great cause is personally very rewarding.

A grand bonus of being an auctioned lunch host for CWLA is the marvelous mix of folks who do that bidding and are my guests. Each has been fascinating - all reaching for higher stars - all committed to doing better for the vulnerable children who are the essential purpose of CWLA - count on this fella to be a continuing auction lunch host.

I was so excited when I saw CWLA was offering this collector's item for auction. I felt even better knowing 100% of my winning bid would go to a great cause! Thank you for everything you do to help America's children!
