Spirit Airlines
In May 2004, Spirit Airlines and CWLA launched a national initiative to both educate and support traveling families and raise awareness of children's issues in mainstream America. Many thanks to Worth International Media, the publisher of Spirit's in-flight magazine, Skylights, for its tremendous support of CWLA's work on behalf of America's most vulnerable children, youth, and families.
In its own words, Spirit Airlines truly goes Above and Beyond to make a difference. Here's how:
- CWLA contributed an article, Connecting Flights: Staying in Touch with Your Kids When You're Out of Town, to the May/June 2004 edition of Skylights magazine. The article provided parents with several easy (and fun!) ways to stay connected with their children while traveling and also addressed important issues such as separation anxiety and the use of technology to stay in touch.

- Family vacations--both the good and the bad--have a way of becoming part of a family's traditions and its history. In Family Vacation Planning: The Sky's The Limit, former CWLA President/CEO Shay Bilchik offers several tips for parents and caregivers in search of ideas for creative, cost-efficient, and hassle-free family vacations. This article appeared in the September/October edition of Skylights magazine.

- Spirit Airlines has generously offered to run a Public Service Announcement (PSA) for CWLA on a space-available basis in Skylights magazine. This PSA urges all Americans to join CWLA in its mission to Make Children a National Priority!
