Prudential Positive Parenting
CWLA, in partnership with The Prudential Foundation, launched a nationwide Prudential Positive Parenting program in 2001 to promote the use of parent education in child care settings, Head Start, and other early childhood education programs.
With support from The Prudential Foundation, CWLA has
- provided thousands of child day care, Head Start, and other early childhood education programs in 47 states, the District of Columbia, and Canada with 57,508 copies of the parent education curriculum Teaching Parents of Young Children in English and Spanish, and accompanying Parent Power Pages;
- conducted workshops and seminars at numerous conferences, including National Association for the Education of Young Children, the National Head Start Association, and its own conferences nationwide; and
- conducted two-day train-the-trainers sessions for child care and other early childhood professionals free of charge in many cities and communities through June 2003.
At this time, CWLA is no longer doing trainings for Prudential Positive Parenting, and we no longer have free copies of the curriculum to distribute. We do have copies of the curriculum available for sale. Bulk discounts are available; view more information.
