Providian Financial, a San Francisco-based financial services company, received CWLA's Corporate Advocate of the Year Award in 2002 for its outstanding service to children, families, and communities.
Providian earned this recognition thanks to an outstanding program of community giving, most notably its unique partnerships with community organizations, nonprofit organizations, and local governments. The company's many initiatives include providing support for child and infant care, including everything from training programs to helping families with special-needs children find child care.
