New Jersey Resources
New Jersey Resources' (NJR) longstanding history of involvement with communities, especially with youth organizations and programs that reinforce healthy families, comes from a sincere interest in doing all it can to form partnerships in building a better society. This past December, NJR announced its support for the Safe Child Consortium and Safe Child Fund of New Jersey to help the state reform its child welfare system. In addition to offering financial support, NJR is building awareness of the child welfare reform plan through various communication channels.
NJR was nominated by the New Jersey Department of Human Services, which strongly believes the new child welfare reform plan will serve as a model program enabling New Jersey to have one of the best children's service systems in the nation. The plan includes establishing partnerships with the business community, charitable foundations, and local communities to promote prevention, family support services, resource families, recruitment and support, and community awareness.
