Ford Motor Company

Ford Motor Company was recognized by CWLA as a Corporate Friend of Children in 2003. Ford was nominated for this award by four CWLA member agencies: Holy Cross Children's Center in Clinton, Michigan; Vista Maria in Dearborn Heights, Michigan; the Children's Center in Detroit, Michigan; and Home of the Innocents in Louisville, Kentucky. Sandy Ulsh, President of Ford Motor Foundation, was present at CWLA's 2003 National Conference to accept this award.

"Ford Motor Company has been a partner in helping and healing troubled children in Detroit since the 1940s," says Cameron Hosner, Executive Director of Vista Maria. "Our commitment continues today, with hundreds of volunteers each year acting as role models and friends to our kids, with strategic leadership on our Board of Directors, and with invaluable philanthropic support for our vital programs."

Additionally, Ford's Family Service and Learning Centers provide high-quality child care, family education and services, community service and outreach opportunities, and volunteer support to Ford employees, setting Ford apart from other corporations as a true friend to children, youth, and families.

Ford Motor Company Fund is the philanthropic arm of Ford Motor Company. Ford Fund supports nonprofit organizations in three primary areas: education, community development, and the environment. The fund is committed to providing and enhancing opportunities to the people who live and work in the communities where Ford Motor Company does business.
