Dance Performance by After School AKAdemyIn 2000, CWLA member agency Family & Children's Services of Central Maryland helped form After School AKAdemy, an educational partnership with schools in neighborhoods of Baltimore City. The program uses the arts, mentoring, and tutoring to provide girls with the skills necessary to navigate successfully through middle school and transition to high school. Since its inception, the program has served over 200 at-risk middle school girls. Come see this talented group perform at the Opening General Session!
