Over the past 2 years, Hillsborough County saw the number of children entering the system reduce by almost 50%. We implemented several innovative programs and built a very good collaborative with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, who complete the child abuse investigation in Hillsborough County. We have collected numerous service providers with the investigators which enables them to refer families directly for services. This model has received national attention and several Community Based Care agencies from across the state have replicated this model as well.
